Keep our mission moving atAmerican Ordnanceby operating forklifts loading materials and making sure everything is safe secure and ready to youre reliable safety-focused and ready to join a team that powers and protects America we want you on board!
As the Material Handler heres the work youll do:
- Operates industrial truck to load or move materials or equipment.
- Lifts objects by hand and cleans work area machines and equipment.
- Assists in the installation of strapping bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Shovels loose materials such as sand gravel metals plastics or chemicals into machine hoppers or into vehicles and containers such as wheelbarrows scrap truck or barrels. This also includes snow removal.
- Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands together.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases bales or containers of hazardous waste. Follows compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) when handling and transporting.
In compliance with this states pay transparency lawsthe salary range for this role is $28.59/HR. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire schedule type and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
This role is for you if you have these skills:
- Ability to perform basic math: addition subtraction multiplication and division.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to print read and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to safely operate powered material handling equipment primarily a forklift.
And if you have these qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1-3 months related experience.
- Forklift license required
- Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant drivers license which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner indicating it is federally compliant.
- A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with team members is essential for contributing to a cohesive work environment.
- Successful completion of a background screening process is mandated for all candidates.
