ROLE- Machinist
LOCATION- Stoke
TERM- Permanent
SALARYper annum (dependent on experience)
My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector and they are looking to take on a CNC Machinist on a permanent basis in the Stoke area.
The CNC / Machinist will ideally have the following attributes:
- Time served Engineer (NVQ/ Apprenticeship/ City & Guilds qualification ideally)
- Ideally 2 years experience or more in a similar engineering manufacturing / machine shop environment
- Experience of working with CNC milling turning or manual grinding
- Experience of working with Fusion360 programming or 5 axis machining would be desirable
- Be able to work with MS Office
- Good communication skills
- Have the ability to read/ interpret engineering drawings
- The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
The CNC / Machinist role will involve:
- Being responsible for the machining of one off engineering components
- Working to the right standards and specifications
- Interpreting engineering drawings
- Writing CNC machining programs (turning/ milling/ grinding)
- Helping to train apprentices or less experience team members
- Assisting with other general manufacturing activities
- Helping to drive the companies Continuous Improvement program
- Maintaining high standards
