Main purpose of the role
To co-ordinate timely manufacture of machined parts using CNC manual milling machines and lathes on a daily basis to meet agreed deadlines for production. To Ensure CNC machines are programmed and maintained to a high standard.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsibility for manufacture of machined parts on-time and to the correct specification and quality standards.
- To adhere to UK Health and Safety Regulations and safe working practices
- To adhere to Ishidas ISO standards factory rules and HR policies.
- Ensure KPI targets for RFT efficiency cost and service are consistently achieved.
- To make positive contribution to continuous improvement activities.
- To adhere to all deadlines and targets set by Fabrication Shop Team Leader
- Establish good working relationship with the machine shop team and key members of all Departments.
- Reporting of Health & Safety issues / near misses to Fabrication Shop Team Leader.
- Ensuring high standards of right first time efficiency and service level are consistently achieved.
- Provide fast resolution to any manufacturing issues identified and ensure good levels of communication of operations team.
- Provide positive support to team members as required.
What skills are we looking for
To be successful in this role you must have machining/engineering experience within a relevant manufacturing environment knowledge of best practice machining and assembly techniques good understanding of machining parts CNC milling and lathe work ability to work unsupervised to a high standard and in a safe manner CAD/CAM experience and have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills be a problem solver with a drive to deliver be self-motivated must be team player who is logical thinker and must have a can-do positive attitude.
