This highly skilled professional will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining complex server environments with a focus on virtualization disaster recovery and enterprise-level Senior Server Engineer will provide expert-level support for server infrastructure and related technologies. Primary responsibilities include:Design and implement complex server solutions including enterprise virtualization environmentsSupport server migration projects and datacenter modernization initiativesProvide high-availability and disaster recovery solutionsPerform system performance analysis and optimizationDevelop and implement Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutionsCreate detailed documentation for server systems and architecturesEstablish and maintain procedures for ensuring system reliability and securityResearch and implement emerging server technologiesAutomate server management processes using PowerShell Ansible or similar toolsProvide technical guidance to junior server engineers and administratorsParticipate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical system supportCollaborate with network security and application teams to ensure integrated solutionsSupport audit requirements and compliance initiativesEducation and Experience:Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field Equivalent experience is acceptable7 years experience with enterprise server technologies and architectures5 years experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere Hyper-V)Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure AWS)Required Skills and Competencies:Expert knowledge of Windows Server operating systems ()Advanced understanding of virtualization technologies and best practicesProficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and managementExperience with high-availability configurations and disaster recovery planningKnowledge of storage technologies (SAN NAS) and backup solutionsExperience with monitoring and management tools for enterprise server environmentsUnderstanding of networking concepts as they relate to server infrastructureStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBase-level certification (CompTIA A Security or Network)Core certification (MCSA MCSE VMware VCP or equivalent)Desired Skills and Competencies:Experience in government IT environmentsKnowledge of security best practices for server environmentsExperience with container technologies (Docker Kubernetes)Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts (Terraform Ansible)Experience with server hardware from major vendors (Dell HP Cisco)ITIL certification or knowledge of ITIL processesSecurity Requirements:This position requires a Criminal background Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
