Job Summary
Hydro Aluminium Metal is a leading supplier of extrusion ingots sheet ingots foundry alloys wire rods and high-purity aluminium with a global production network of around 6000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe Canada Australia Brazil and Qatar and recycling facilities throughout Europe and the U.S. two-thirds of our primary aluminium production is based on renewable energy.
AM Finance consists of the local finance organizations located at our plants finance organizations in the business units and the central finance team. The central finance team is responsible for finance processes business planning performance management financial reporting and enterprise risk management in addition to information systems and technology. The central team works closely with the business units plants and corporate functions in these areas.

What you will be doing
As Financial Controller you are part of the financial reporting processes across AM and are responsible for steering and developing corresponding reports processes systems controls and policies in this area. You will report to the Head of Financial Reporting and Enterprise Risk Management in AM.
Your main tasks and deliveries will include:
- Act as a trusted business partner for AM business units Group Accounting and external auditors.
- Take ownership for Accounting topics and projects.
- Coordinate the quarterly Accounting issue process and present Accounting issues to the Hydro CFO in Disclosure Committees.
- Act as process owner for the financial model in AM (account hierarchy SAP cost/profit center).
- Maintain and improve financial reporting processes systems policies and ICFR controls.
- Support Hydros external quarterly and annual reporting and contribute to forecasting performance and deviation analysis.
- Contribute to standardization and automation of reports and processes.

What will make you successful
We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Masters degree in business administration professional accounting or similar.
- Minimum five years experience with accounting and/or controlling financial reporting and the use of financial systems from an international/industrial company.
- Sound accounting competence. IFRS competence and experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to sanity-check financials and explanations.
- Advanced Excel and Power Point skills. Experience with SAP consolidation systems and analytical tools (SAP analytics cloud/SAC PowerBI etc.) is a plus.
- Fluent English is required fluent Norwegian is strongly preferred (or willingness to learn).
You can proactively identify and implement innovative ideas (including digitalization) to further improve our reporting function processes and systems. You easily build relationships and have excellent skills in messaging and communication across all organizational levels. You are motivated to work learn and grow in a fast-paced and cross-cultural environment.
