J Polep Distribution Services a wholly owned subsidiary of NCDis seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Director of Finance in driving the financial planning of the organization in retaining awareness of the companys financial position overseeing audit and internal control procedures conducting analysis for forecasting and ensuring adherence to financial and tax laws and regulations.
J Polep has been servicing theNew England area and beyond for over120 position is in Chicopee MA in person and is part of a supportive & energetic accounting team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accounting:Review and reconcile General Leger accounts monthly assist with day-to-day oversight of accounting processes and month-end closings.
- Financial Reporting:Compiling and presenting financial statements reports and budgets for management and stakeholders.
- Auditing:Conducting internal audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and ensure compliance with regulations like GAAP and IRS rules. Assist with external audits and provide information as needed.
Financial Analysis and Forecasting:Analyzing financial data to provide insights forecast future performance and identify areas for cost savings or improved profitability.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
- Extensive knowledge of Accounting Principles and GAAP
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of vendor rebate programs a plus but not required
- Prior experience in wholesale distribution
