The position involves providing speech therapy services in Livermore CA.

Responsibilities

• The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist providing therapeutic interventions to improve our clients communication abilities
• Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing treatment plans for clients with speech and language disorders
• Conduct speech and language screenings under the direction of the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
• Document client progress towards treatment goals and report this information to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
• Provide direct therapy services to clients as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain equipment and supplies
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
• Adhere to all professional ethical and legal regulations as set out by the state licensing board and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Education and Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in speech-language pathology/communicative disorders or related field.
• 1 year of verifiable professional experience as a SLPA within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
• Valid California License as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant granted by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
