Job Summary

ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR DEPARTMENT POSITIONS.

Expected hours of work per week: Minimum of 10 hours - 15 hours per week.
Work Location & Hours: The Kirk Room 024. 8 am- 5 pm Monday - Friday or evenings/ weekends virtually. Work is to be done on campus unless otherwise directed. The office is The Kirk Room 024 but event support will be throughout the campus.


SUMMARY
The Leadership Programs & Strategic Transformation Student Assistant is an intern and a core contributor to the Brock-Barnes Centers Next Generation Transformation Team supporting the design coordination and maturation of leadership programs and strategic initiatives. Designed as a 12-15-hour-per-week internship this role offers hands-on experience in building a leadership institution and helping translate vision into scalable programs and systems that form students as faithful builders of organizations and communities.


Key Responsibilities
Support development and coordination of leadership programs and initiatives
Assist with research planning and documentation related to strategic priorities and transformation efforts
Help design pilot and refine leadership learning experiences and program concepts
Coordinate with faculty staff and partners to support effective program execution
Contribute to long-term thinking about the Centers strategy structure and sustainable growth

Required / Core Qualifications
Current Covenant College student in good academic standing (Mac Scholar eligible)
Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
Interest in leadership development strategy organizational design or change
Ability to think both conceptually and practically
Strong written communication skills for planning and documentation
Ability to manage projects deadlines and evolving priorities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
Commitment to the mission and values of Covenant College and the Brock-Barnes Center

Preferred / Helpful Qualifications
Coursework or experience in leadership business economics education or related fields
Interest in program design innovation or institutional development
Experience with research planning or project coordination
Comfort working with ambiguity and early-stage initiatives
Familiarity with basic strategy or design tools (frameworks canvases logic models etc.)
