Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural hospitallocated in northwest Iowa employing over 500 employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers if accepted are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients requiring hospitalization
- Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
- Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
- Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients
Requirements:
- IA RN license
- BLS and ACLS are required -In-house education available
- Must have or acquire in the first year ACLS BLS and CPI training - In-house education available
- Two years of nursing experience required
Schedule:
- 60 hours per pay period (Full-time benefit eligible)
- 12 hour day/night rotating shifts
- Weekend and holiday rotation
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
