What will you be doing

Position: Trainee Claims Assessor
Location: Basingstoke or Dorking (with hybrid working)

What will you bring

We are looking for Trainee Claims Assessors to join us here at Unum. You will play a key part in delivering financial security and support to individuals and families when they need it most.

What youll be doing:

  • Assessing Claims: Learn to manage and assess claims using medical and policy knowledge.
  • Customer Communication: Deliver clear empathetic updates to customers throughout the claims process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the Claims department while also managing your own caseload.
  • Service Excellence: Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders always putting the customer first.

The ideal candidate will have a similar background in case management insurance banking or investigation work. Additionally similar qualifications or experience in law psychology nursing or a related field have proved successful.
