Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Deployment:

• Design implement and maintain AWS-based infrastructure for high availability and scalability.

• Manage services such as EC2 S3 RDS Lambda VPC IAM CloudFormation and Terraform.

Automation & Scripting:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell for provisioning configuration and operational tasks.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation/Terraform.

Monitoring & Optimization:

• Configure monitoring logging and alerting using AWS CloudWatch and third-party tools.

• Optimize cost performance and security of cloud resources.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement best practices for identity and access management encryption and compliance frameworks.

• Conduct regular audits and ensure adherence to organizational security policies.

Collaboration & Support:

• Work closely with development teams to enable cloud-native application deployments.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications:

Education Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science Technology Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 5 years in Cloud Engineering or DevOps roles and 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS services.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration.

• Expertise in AWS services and architecture.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation Terraform).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).

Other Skills:

• Solid understanding of networking security and cloud governance.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Business Acumen:

• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems

• Skilled in breaking down problems documenting problem statements and estimating efforts

• Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trends

• Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices

Leadership:

• Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members

• Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions. Uses two-way communication to influence outcomes and ongoing results

• Identifies misalignments with goals objectives and work direction against the organizational strategy. Makes suggestions to course correct

• Continuously measures deliverables of self and team against scheduled commitments. Effectively balances different competing objectives
