Description
The Family Partner at the Plymouth Family Resource Center plays a vital role in supporting families by providing lived-experience perspective advocacy and strengths-based support. This team member uses personal insight shared experiences and community knowledge to build trusting relationships guide families toward resources and help them navigate systems such as behavioral health child welfare education and community services.
What You Will Be Doing to Help Families...
- Provide peer-based strengths-focused support to families in need of guidance connection and advocacy
- Engage families respectfully building rapport and understanding of needs strengths and goals
- Partner with families to co-create support plans that reflect family values and priorities
- Support families in navigating systems (DCF schools providers housing recovery resources)

Requirements
No degree requirements
Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs and preferably a youth with mental health needs
Experience in navigating any of the child and family serving systems and teaching family members who are involved with the child and family serving systems
Experience in working collaboratively with state agencies consumer advocacy groups and/or behavioral health outpatient facilities
Knowledge of CRA-related issues
Good organizational and strong interpersonal skills
Valid MA drivers license with acceptable driving record and current proof of insurance
Acceptable CORI and SORI background record check as required by program
