Job Summary: This is a
part-time contract role to support the Maitri Gala ideal for a junior-to-mid-level person who is highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable working across systems vendors and timelines.
The role is execution-focused and operational with clear processes and guidance but also requires ownership of tasks and follow-through. Experience in nonprofit fundraising or events management is a plus but not necessary.
Role ResponsibilitiesDonor & CRM Support- Maintain accurate donor records in the organizations CRM
- Enter and reconcile pledges gifts sponsorships ticket sales and event attendance
- Run routine donor and pledge reports and flag discrepancies
- Support data cleanup deduplication and householding
- Build segmented lists and support mail merges and donor communications
- Use Excel or Google Sheets to track pledges payments and event metrics
Event & Vendor Support- Coordinate logistics with vendors (venue catering entertainment décor printing AV etc.)
- Maintain event timelines task lists and planning documents
- Assist with on-site event logistics as needed
Fundraising & Sponsorship Support- Support sponsor tracking fulfillment and recognition
- Assist with donor communications reminders acknowledgments and follow-ups
- Coordinate donor logistics for events (tables seating recognition materials)
Reporting Support- Track event expenses and revenue under guidance from the Donor Engagement Manager
- Assist with post-event reconciliation and reporting
- Prepare summaries and basic reports
Qualifications:- 14 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising events or operations (nice to have)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working with CRMs (e.g. CharityEngine Salesforce Bloomerang or similar)
- Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets (filters sorting basic formulas)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional discretion when handling donor and sensitive information
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule on a need basis and to complete tasks on hand.
- Occasionally working on weekends and weeknights is a requirement.
- Commitment to Maitris mission vision and values.
- Work Authorization for USA required.
Engagement Details- Engagement Type: Part-time/ Contract
- Time Commitment: 1015 hours per week; flexible with increased hours pre-Gala
- Duration: 3-4 months with potential to renew annually
- Location: Remote-friendly; in-person support around major events
- Hourly Rate Range: $28-$33 (commensurate with direct or relevant experience)
