Purpose
Contribute to the overall success of Scotiabanks International Wealth Management (IWM) business and drive organizational change by analyzing data and processes to recommend and implement solutions that improve efficiency and mitigate risk fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Manager Wealth Lending Business Intelligence collaborates closely with credit advisors credit risk technology and head office teams to ensure data quality and process efficiency.
Core responsibilities
Recommend solutions to business problems which may include new systems process changes or other initiatives
Evaluate existing wealth lending processes to find areas for improvement and lead initiatives to create new or more efficient workflows
Manage the review assessment and implementation of new product solutions and product offering enhancements through the investigation of the product offer in the market and the Bank.
Liaise with Global Risk Management (GRM) on issues related to wealth lending initiatives guidelines and portfolio management maintaining a two-way communication channel on how the business is managing the risks associated with its lending book and potential long-term improvements
Collect clean and analyze loan portfolio data using statistical tools to identify trends and provide insights
Assist in the delivery of project requirements and solutions and perform quality assurance testing at various stages
Collaborate with cross-functional teams senior executives and department heads to build support and secure buy-in for change initiatives identifying potential inconsistencies in data or reports and proposing solutions to address these by way of improvements to systems or processes
Manage stakeholders communicating the vision for change and overcoming resistance through leadership and project management skills
Maintain and update IWM Wealth Lending tools and systems including collateral monitoring loan management and others developed in the future
Support the development and enhancement of IWM Wealth Lending systems and dashboards.
Be the subject matter expert on wealth lending systems and provide end-user support
Demonstrates initiative and proactively identifies communicates and mitigates operational risks across wealth lending processes.

Deliver project milestones within defined timelines
Manage relationship with third-party vendors in accordance with contractual terms and SLAs
Education/Experience/Other Experience:
Bachelors or masters degree in business management IT or a related field
Education from other non-standard backgrounds will be entertained where an appropriate skills/experience background exists.
5 years of experience as a business analyst or in analytics teams within the financial services industry Proficiency in statistical analysis data mining and data visualization tools like SQL Excel or Tableau.
Ability to break down complex problems interpret data and draw logical conclusions.
Strong ability to present findings clearly and effectively to different audiences through written reports and verbal presentations.
Attention to detail - meticulousness in cleaning data and ensuring accuracy for reliable analysis.

Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
