Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Infusion Nurse you will administer intravenous (IV) therapies and medications ensuring safe and effective patient care delivery.
Every day you will assess needs manage infusion devices meticulously prepare and administer medications educate patients and monitor for complications.
To be successful you will demonstrate exceptional clinical assessment precise technical proficiency compassionate communication and adherence to sterile and safety protocols.
- RN performs patient assessments; provides direct patient care and administers treatments and medications; instructs patient and family in various self administered treatments and procedures; documents assessments observations and interventions; demonstrates professional growth and conduct;
- maintains equipment and supplies and initiates and maintains IV therapy
- Consistently demonstrates customer service expectations as outlined in the DIGNITY HEALTH MEDICAL FOUNDATION audit tools
- Consistently makes eye contact and smiles active listening with positive can do attitude.
- Consistently respectful concerned and shows empathy. Consistently and proactively greets patients when within 3 feet of them.
- Engages in professional business related conversations in patient areas and avoids personal conversations where patients may hear them.
Job Requirements
- Current and valid CA Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support - CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Cancer Chemotherapy Provider certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior chemo mixing experience
