What You Will Do

Participation in collaborative cross-disciplined integrated product teams employing agile software development techniques and resources to plan design develop test and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
Responsible for some or all of a Software product contributing as a software team member and possibly leading a small software team.
Responsibilities spanning the full lifecycle of product development from architecture and design through integration test and field support.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with C C Java Rust or other OOP languages.
Experience developing on Red Hat Linux or equivalent OS

Qualifications We Prefer

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development Methodologies
Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and secure software development methodologies
Experience with UNIX Linux VxWorks INTEGRITY SYSBIOS or other RTOS
Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.
Experience with design code integration and test of large systems
Experience with some or all phases of software development: architecture design implementation testing and system integration.
Domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Radars EO/IR EW Network Communications Datalinks Platform Integration Weapons/Effects (Missiles Projectiles) Command & Control for Fire Control and Surveillance applications Multi-Domain Airborne Sensor Fusion and Tracking experience

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
