WHO YOULL WORK WITH
As a core member of the EMEA Brand Communications team you will report to the Snr. Director of Brand Communications EMEA. The individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled communicators across Brand Employee Marketplace and Corporate Communications as well as global and territory teams to help advance our brand and business through impactful storytelling.
This role will focus on Training and NikeSKIMS working closely with Nikes cross-functional Training and NikeSKIMS brand teams you will also be expected to contribute across other fields of play as needed to support business priorities.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Senior Professional with extensive experience in communications and a deep understanding and affinity for all things training and wellness as well as its influence on sportswear style and culture.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing communications strategies specifically within the training and wellness industry or aligned sport categories. Demonstrate an ability to collaborate with diverse teams think critically and effectively manage multiple often competing priorities.
This role requires a strong leadership first mindset with the capacity to access and apply knowledge of consumer and media insights trends and intelligence related to culture innovation and the evolving landscape of running communities. A genuine curiosity for the culture of running and a passion for staying ahead of the curve is key.
The successful candidate will demonstrate agility welcome change by finding creative solutions and achieve objectives even in situations of ambiguity. Deep understanding of the intersection of training athletes sport and style as well as broader culture within EMEA with a keen interest in training culture and its communities.
Experience developing and executing strategic communications plans that delivers narrative-led storytelling and consumer engagement
Proven ability in initiating and driving the ideation process that contributes to meaningful and innovative strategies concepts and partnerships.
Excellent communicator of ideas concepts and plans with the ability to influence across a complex matrix on a functional and regional basis
Strong project management skills including strategic planning creative ideation execution budgeting and agency management
Strong media relations background
WHAT YOULL WORK ON
You will be responsible for developing and executing long-term communications strategies and innovative storytelling tactics that builds Nikes image as the leader in training for EMEA and creates positive brand resonance with consumers and employees. You will:
Develop and execute GEO specific strategic communications plans that create impact and pushes the boundaries of communications
Seek outside-world opportunities beyond our current internal structures that takes us to new spaces as well as maintaining our heritage and fuelling our future in running
Be an architect of a new media / medium network for running and running culture with a focus on youth first spaces
Develop a 365 training and NikeSKIMS storytelling and engagement approach
Build and drive influence with the right partners internally and externally
Keep up to date with emerging trends in running design media and technology
Navigate and manage issues as needed
Lead and execute key communication initiatives and events within EMEA
Handle issues to safeguard company and brand reputation
Qualifications:
Extensive and long-standing experience in corporate communications or public relations roles supporting (global) sports / eminent organizations
Deep knowledge about current and evolving social media and sports platforms tools and technologies and their effective use to resonate with Gen Z
Profound understanding of the intersection of sport and fashion streetwear and broader culture within EMEA
Professional experience and keen understanding of the sphere of influence of fitness communities
Successful experience in developing and executing strategic communications plans that deliver narrative-led storytelling and consumer engagement with a variety of key audiences and stakeholders both external and internal
