Role Overview

We are seeking a Legal Intern to join our Legal team for the summer. This role is ideal for a law student who has completed their first year (1L) and is interested in gaining hands-on in-house legal experience within a fast-growing consumer products company. The Legal Intern will work closely with the SVPLegaland will gain exposure to a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters with a focus on contracts governance and legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistwith the review drafting and administration of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other standard commercial agreements
  • Support in reviewing and organizing vendor supplier distributor and services contracts
  • Help maintain and update the Companys contract repository including cataloguing agreements key terms and renewal dates
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of Board and committee materials including agendas resolutions and minutes
  • Conduct basic legal research on corporate commercial and regulatory matters as needed
  • Support general legal operations and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with ad hoc legal and business projects as they arise

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Canadian law school and have completed first year (1L) by the start of the internship
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written communication skills
  • Interest in corporate commercial or in-house legal practice
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment

Compensation:
The hiring rate for this role is $21 per hour
