As an impact investing intern at Rally Assets you will work with and learn from a leading impact investment team in Canada gaining a solid understanding of the impact investing sector the breadth and diversity of impact investments and the power of impact investing to support transformative change.
This internship is being offered as a part of the Good & Well Social Impact Internship Program. As an intern you will have the opportunity to participate in personal and professional development workshops led by social impact leadersand connect with a community of like-minded peers. Throughout your summer internship with us up to 20% of yourtime will be spent participating in Good & Well programming attending professional development and careerworkshops wellness and personal development sessions a 3-day outdoor retreat and optional social gatherings andactivities outside of working hours. As a result interns are requested to be available for all 14 weeks and must attendG&W sessions in person in Toronto.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Rally Assets is seeking a motivated intern to support a range of market-building and strategic initiatives focused on advancing impact investing in Canada. This role will contribute to research coordination and execution across both established and emerging projects working closely with Rally team members and external partners. While the intern will provide meaningful support to one of our high-priority initiatives currently in development - the arts social finance fund - they will also have exposure to broader ecosystem-building education-focused and strategic work across the organization.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Applicants can expect this role to include the following:
- Support arts fund manager development including research on intermediary models potential partners or fund managers and preparation of comparison or background materials.
- Support the development of capacity-building and investment readiness initiatives for the arts and culture sector including assisting in the establishment of program management protocols pipeline tracking and due diligence activities.
- Assist with the development and refinement of presentation decks briefing notes and other collateral for arts funders - partners and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute research analysis or coordination support to additional early-stage strategic projects as needed such as systems mapping the impact investing landscape in Canada.
QUALIFICATIONS
On your resume we ask that you demonstrate the following:
- That you are legally able to work in Canada
- Proficiency in English
- Enrolment as a second-year student or above in a post-secondary program returning to school in the fall after the internship (graduate programs count)
- Enrolment in a relevant degree in a field such as business finance or sustainability
- A record of high academic achievement or commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Experience exploring how impact investing can support social and environmental justice
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets databases and the Microsoft suite of products
- Interest and/or experience in the arts and culture sector an asset
