The opportunity:
Highly skilled and motivated Power System Study Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced power system studies across a diverse portfolio of projects including onshore and offshore power systems Synchronous Condensers (Syncon) Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) and eMobility infrastructure. The role involves modelling simulation and analysis using Industry standard tools such as DigSILENT PowerFactory PSSE ETAP and PSCAD supporting both Engineering design and grid code compliance activities.
How youll make an impact:
Perform load flow short-circuit and Arc flash study and dynamic/transient stability analyses.
Conduct steady-state and RMS EMT simulations to assess system performance under various operating conditions.
Perform voltage regulation fault ride-through (FRT) and reactive power capability studies for grid code compliance.
Carry out harmonic insulation coordination and protection coordination studies as required.
Evaluate impact of renewable generation (Wind BESS) or FACTS devices (STATCOM VSR) on network stability.
Develop and validate detailed electrical models of equipment (WTG transformers cables reactors PPC STATCOM etc.) in simulation tools.
Review manufacturer and supplier data sheets to extract electrical parameters. Maintain standardized project study models and ensure version control.
Utilize industry-standard simulation tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory PSSE ETAP PSCAD.
Support preparation of grid code compliance documentation (e.g. reactive capability voltage control FRT and frequency response).
Prepare study reports single-line diagrams and technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated with industry standards grid codes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical controls commissioning) to integrate study results into design deliverables.
Provide technical input for concept design FEED detailed design and commissioning support. Review vendor studies and ensure consistency with project requirements.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background:
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in power system analysis and studies.
Strong understanding of electrical power systems including transmission distribution and renewable integration.
Hands-on experience with any of Onshore and Offshore Syncon BESS FACTS projects.
Hands on experience and Proficiency in power system simulation software ETAP mandatory.
Familiarity with international and Asia pacific country grid codes (e.g. IEC IEEE AEMO NER KEPCO).
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
