About the job:
Collaborate with the Global Sales Manager in defining/implementing the commercial strategy for the Institutional Solutions business and setting the unit business plan & budget taking into account the market drivers and investors appetite.
Generate recurrent income to meet revenues targets that are set each year in the Global Sales unit and Global Sales & Structuring overall budget.
Lead and promote the distribution among institutional clients of ad-hoc solutions Interacting permantently with clients & identifying new business opportunities.
Lead the team coordination delegating tasks amongst team. Follow up and supervision of all ongoing commercial activity
Drive the origination of commercial opportunities with institutional clients managing a specific client portfolio.
Encourage the coordination and strategic alignment with other GM/CIB areas to reinforce BBVA GM product trading and structured product development capabilities.
Drive the interaction with Risk unit for negotiating approvals
Track the unit activity monitoring main activity indicators. Follow up the operations pipeline and the budget compliance.
Lead a key role in promoting the banks positioning a key player in the market in the region.
Lead the coordination with Policies & Procedures CIB for the definition and update of the Institutional Solutions Sales operating procedures and with IC CIB for monitoring the compliance with the established operative framework.
Ensure that the unit activity complies with internal & external operational policies procedures and regulatory requirements
Introduce the unit activity with institutional clients both to internal and external clients
Manage all staffing issues for the unit together with the Sales Manager and TC CIB.
Report to the in-line Sales Manager on a periodic and ad-hoc basis about main unit activity.
Qualifications:
Proven track record of revenue generation and commercial success within an international banking environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively in complex dynamic and high-pressure environments.
Strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability.
Strong senior client relationships across the jurisdiction to cover including Germany Austria Netherlands and Nordics and across various client segments like Banks Asset-Managers and insurance companies.
Manage mentor and motivate a high-performing sales team in a fast-paced and constantly evolving market environment.
Translate market dynamics and macro trends into commercial opportunities and measurable results for the bank.
High proficiency in using Trading tools like Murex Tradeweb Bondvision Bloomberg Market-access and the ability
to implement AI tools like ChatGPT or Gemini in the day-to-day business
Full professional proficiency in German and English is mandatory. Knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset.
Highly self motivated person who is willing to go the extra mile develop new relationships and improve existing ones.
