Use your civil or environmental engineering skills to contribute to successful flood mitigation for the environment and communities of NSW
The Water Groups Asset Management and Performance team is currently seeking to appoint a Project Engineer to support the Major projects section of the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Scheme (HVFM Scheme) and assist in flood recovery construction management in accordance with National and State legislation policies guidelines and directions.
About You
You are a proactive and solutions-focused engineer who thrives on delivering complex projects to a high standard within tight timeframes. You bring strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and ensure outcomes are achieved efficiently and effectively. Your ability to work collaboratively with suppliers stakeholders and landholders enables you to build trust and communicate technical concepts clearly.
You have a solid understanding of floodplain risk assessment methods and floodplain management strategies coupled with sound knowledge of asset management principles. Your experience in managing civil engineering design and construction projects equips you to identify opportunities for life cycle optimisation and deliver innovative solutions. You are comfortable navigating planning environmental and heritage requirements and you apply critical thinking to resolve challenges and improve processes.
