Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance troubleshooting and repair of equipment machinery and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role helps minimize downtime and supports smooth day-to-day production or facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery equipment and building systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic issues
- Repair or replace faulty parts components and systems
- Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and ensure proper operation
- Maintain maintenance logs and complete work orders accurately
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with installation of new equipment or facility upgrades
- Keep work areas clean organized and safe
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous maintenance or mechanical experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanical electrical and industrial systems
- Ability to read manuals schematics and work orders
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand walk bend and lift up to X lbs
- Comfortable working in industrial or outdoor environments
- Ability to use hand tools power tools and testing equipment
Work Schedule
- Full-time
- May include overtime nights weekends or on-call availability as needed
