EduTalent is supporting a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Islington that is seeking dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to start as soon as possible.
The school caters for children and young people across both primary and secondary age ranges operating across two sites and supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school provides a structured nurturing environment focused on meeting the individual needs of each learner.
Support class teachers by delivering high-quality teaching and learning for pupils with ASD
Lead lessons or small groups under the direction of the teacher
Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary age groups
Implement strategies to support communication engagement and emotional regulation
Contribute to planning assessment and progress monitoring
Promote independence confidence and positive behaviour
Support pupils in line with their EHCPs
Maintain a calm safe and inclusive classroom environment across both sites
Requirements
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Experience working with children with SEN/ASD (desirable but not essential)
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Ability to deliver lessons and support learning across different age groups
Patient resilient and adaptable
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
