Job Summary
Job Title: SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Developer
Experience Required:
68 years of hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects development
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Developer to design develop and maintain reporting and analytics solutions that enable informed business decisions. The candidate will work closely with business users data teams and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable efficient and high-performing BI solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design develop and deploy SAP BO reports and dashboards using:
Web Intelligence (WebI)
Crystal Reports
Dashboards (Xcelsius) if applicable
Create and maintain Universes (UNV/UNX) using Information Design Tool (IDT) and Universe Design Tool (UDT)
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Optimize BO reports and universes for performance usability and scalability
Perform data validation reconciliation and quality checks
Manage report scheduling publishing and bursting
Implement and maintain security and access controls within SAP BO
Collaborate with SAP BW SAP HANA and other data source teams for report development
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production deployments
Troubleshoot and resolve BO-related issues in a timely manner
Prepare and maintain technical and user documentation
Ensure all development activities comply with SDLC and enterprise BI governance standards
Essential Skills / Must-Have:
Strong hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects suite
Expertise in Web Intelligence (WebI) and Crystal Reports
Experience in Universe design and development (UNV/UNX)
Strong SQL and database knowledge
Ability to tune report performance and optimize queries
Experience with report scheduling bursting and security management
Desirable Skills / Nice-to-Have:
Experience with SAP BW / SAP HANA as data sources
Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other BI tools
Understanding of Agile methodology
Knowledge of best practices in business intelligence and reporting
