Responsibilities

  • Possess knowledgeable understanding of current medication information health care concepts and all regulations relative to the practices of institutional pharmacy.
  • Interpret and assess new and refill order requests accurately to ensure appropriate therapy and maintain patient safety.
  • Clarify inappropriate physician orders when necessary.
  • Prepare and complete all appropriate documentation required on orders prescriptions controlled substance records general workflow etc.
  • Provide physicians nursing staff and public with drug information such as drug selection dosage proper administration etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) from NABP accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Institutional pharmacy experience required.
  • Valid state registered pharmacist license.
