Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Analyze product requirements specifications and user stories to define effective test strategies
Design document and execute comprehensive manual test cases and test scenarios
Perform functional regression smoke sanity and exploratory testing
Validate application behavior across UI API and database layers
Identify log track and verify defects using issue tracking tools
Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure timely defect resolution
Execute and maintain existing automated test cases; identify candidates for automation
Support automation efforts by assisting in script updates and failure analysis
Conduct cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Ensure test coverage traceability and adherence to QA standards
Support release validation and post-deployment sanity checks

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience in manual testing of web-based applications
Solid understanding of SDLC STLC and QA methodologies
Proficiency in test case design techniques and defect lifecycle management
Working knowledge of at least one automation tool (Selenium Cypress Playwright or equivalent)
Understanding of automation fundamentals such as:

Page Object Model (POM)
Locators waits and test data handling

Ability to execute and troubleshoot automated test scripts
Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman
Experience with Performance testing tools like Jmeter.
Understanding of HTTP methods status codes and request/response validation
Ability to validate backend data using SQL queries
Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
Basic exposure to CI/CD pipelines is a plus
