Starting March 20 2026 for up to 12 weeks Job DescriptionTitle:Math Coach/InterventionistReports to:Building Principal Curriculum CoordinatorEvaluated by: Building PrincipalQualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent Masters preferredEvidence of successful work at the elementary levelEvidence of professional accomplishments and experiences with mathematical conceptsExperience working with a standards-based math programStrong interpersonal and communication skillsLicensed by the Department of of Elementary and Secondary Education to teach at the elementary levelJob Goals:To support the implementation of:Consistent delivery of the standards-based math curriculumDifferentiation of instructional strategiesAssessment and data analysisPerformance Responsibilities:Provide intervention lessons and differentiate instruction to students by breaking down complex ideas and equations and put them into words that elementary aged students can understandCommunicate basic math concepts such as: adding subtracting multiplying dividing word problems and geometry with studentsCommunicate student progress to classroom teachersImplement lessons in a variety of settings: 1:1 small group and inclusionEnhance student learning by showing them various approaches to different math problems and formulasSupport teachers if needed by providing materials or assistance with instruction to assist with consistent implementation of the curriculumImplement the Response to Intervention model in conjunction with building principals and other instructional support specialistsParticipate in district wide math assessments including planning administration progress monitoring analysis and interpretation of results to inform instructionMaintain a current working knowledge base of the national state and local curriculum initiativesMaintain paperwork consistently appropriately and in a timely mannerMaintain the confidentiality of students teachers and classroomsPerform such other related tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Building Principals Math Instructional Support Specialist or Director of Curriculum may assign from time to timeFSLA StatusExemptPhysical Requirements:1. Mobility and MovementStanding and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods (up to 6-8 hours per day) to instruct students circulate the classroom monitor hallways and supervise recess/ and Lifting: Ability to reach overhead above the shoulders and horizontally to access and arrange teaching materials whiteboards or bulletin and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g. boxes of books educational supplies or technology equipment) on an occasional and Kneeling: Ability to bend stoop kneel crouch or sit on the floor frequently to interact with students at their level assist with classroom activities and manage Motion: Use of hands and fingers for keyboarding writing grading and manipulating materials.2.
