What to Know If Youre New to Private Duty Nursing
- RNs working in hospitals long-term care and schoolshave directly transferable skills and are well-equipped to handle one client in the home
- Private duty full shifts (8s 10s or 12s)
- Private duty one client for the whole shift
- Private duty nursing is not visits; nurses commute to only one client home per shift
- Private duty skilled nurses at BAYADA choose their own flexible schedule based on client needs
- Private duty nurses work with local clients nearby with short commutes
- Private duty skilled nursing varies in acuity according to nurse skill and training interests: g-tube trach vent.
- Common diagnosis BAYADA skilled nurses work on: TBI SCI COPD Stroke Dementia/Alzheimers Premature Birth Cancer and surgery recovery.
Qualifications for A Private Duty RN :
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program as indicated by school transcript or diploma
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state
Compensation & Schedule:
- Pay range: $40-$45 hourly based on experience and skills
- Flexible scheduling with no minimums (Full-Time Part-Time PRN)
