Position Overview:

The Accounting Intern will support the Manager of Business Operations during the teams active season assisting with daily accounting tasks financial recordkeeping and reporting. This entry-level role is ideal for a student or recent graduate seeking hands-on experience in sports finance and accounting operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
Help prepare daily weekly and monthly reports.
Support reconciliation of bank statements credit card transactions and general ledger accounts.
Organize and maintain financial files invoices and documentation.
Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems.
Assist with tracking team-related expenses ticketing revenue and game-day financial activity.
Help with audit preparation and other seasonal financial projects as needed.
Perform general administrative support for the accounting department.

Qualifications:

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Google; experience with Quickbooks is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Willingness to work a seasonal schedule including potential evenings or weekends during peak periods or game days.
