About the role

As a B2B Content Executive youll be responsible for creating content to position Genio as a respectable source of higher education insights through engaging content across our social channels.

Youll collaborate closely with the wider commercial function to generate case studies sales enablement and market facing materials as well as managing engagement with our B2B audiences via our social channels podcasts and forum communities.

What youll be doing

  • Content Creation & Repurposing
    • Youll be crafting and adapting content across all formats from text to video ensuring every message is perfectly tailored to its medium.
    • Youll be evolving content in real-time to stay aligned with product updates brand shifts and conversion goals.
  • Copywriting SEO & AEO Fundamentals
    • Youll be writing high-impact copy and CTAs while optimising for both traditional search engines and AI-driven platforms (AEO).
    • Youll be acting as the final line of defence for quality proofing content for grammar style and keyword integrity.
  • Community & Social Media Engagement
    • Youll be curating channel-specific content to grow Genios presence across social media and higher education forums.
    • Youll be managing audience interactionseither engaging directly or triaging to internal expertswhile using data to steer your strategy.
  • Strategic Alignment & Product Marketing
    • Youll be executing the editorial calendar by turning complex product marketing materials into digestible assets like brochures ads and personalised content.
    • Youll be navigating stakeholder priorities and brand guidelines to ensure all content resonates with specific B2B personas.
  • Continuous Improvement & Funnel Optimisation
    • Youll be monitoring marketing funnel metrics to understand how your content impacts the bottom line.
    • Youll be tracking industry trends and best practices to keep Genios messaging at the cutting edge of the market.
  • Technology & Innovation
      • Youll be leveraging tools like SEMRush and AI prompting to amplify content reach and maximise ROI.
      • Youll be streamlining creation processes by embracing new technologies that increase efficiency and output.

About you:

  • A creative content strategist with a knack for multi-format storytelling capable of repurposing core ideas into everything from snappy social posts to high-converting video assets.
  • A versatile copywriter who understands the nuances of the B2B journey blending clear persuasive prose with sharp CTAs to drive meaningful audience action.
  • Innovation-led and ideation-focused with a natural curiosity for leveraging AI prompts and new technologies to amplify content reach and streamline the creative process.
  • A proactive community champion who thrives on engaging with audiences in forums and on social media building genuine relationships that position the brand as a leader.
  • Expert project management skills with the ability to balance competing stakeholder needs maintain a consistent editorial calendar and stay aligned with brand guidelines.
  • SEO and AEO literate with a modern understanding of how to optimise content for both traditional search and the latest generative engines.
  • Experience translating product marketing materials into SEO/AEO-optimised sales enablement and marketing assets.
  • Proven track record managing B2B social channels and engaging in professional forums (Reddit AHEAD EDUCAUSE) to establish brand authority.
  • Experience using SEMRush and CRM systems is desirable; a background in Higher Education or a track record of using data-driven insights to boost marketing funnel ROI would be a bonus!

Salary and benefits:

30000 - 36000 dependent upon experience

33 days annual leave (Inclusive of bank holidays)

Location:

We have a beautiful office space in Leeds and we love it when we get together to collaborate in person. We typically operate a hybrid way of working however some of our roles support remote working within the UK if you live more than 50 miles from the office.

  1. Screening interview with someone in our Recruitment team (30 minutes).
  2. First stage interview with Jacob and Sarah or Paddy (1 hour)
  3. Final stage interview which includes a 1 hour culture and values interview plus a 30 minute task. This is likely to be with Jacob and Tate our Head of Marketing.
