Position Description
Double E Group is an international market leader in the engineering and manufacturing of web handling material handling and converting solutions. Our broad portfolio of products are marketed to the paper tissue film and foil converting industries.
The Assembly/Service Technician is responsible for safely assembling testing and troubleshooting company products in accordance with routings work instructions drawings and specifications. This role will share in-field service duties with the other team members to support our installed base of products.
Position requires about 10-15% travel including domestic overnight travel. International travel/service support experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assembling products per routings work instructions engineering drawings and specifications.
- Testing/evaluating/documenting assembled products prior to shipment.
- Troubleshoot installed products with customers via phone computer and in person.
- Train Customer employees on operation and maintenance of products/systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Approximately 10-15% overnight travel required to support machine startups maintenance and training at customer locations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must have a working understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Must have a working understanding of electrical circuits and wiring practices.
- Must have a strong understanding of PLCs HMIs and Drives.
- Must have experience with or general understanding of PLC ladder logic.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- General computer skills required.
Education and Experience
- Strong ability to comprehend Engineering drawings (mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic) and work instructions.
- Must have a degree in an electrical/electro-mechanical field and/or minimum of 3 years of experience.
- The ideal candidate will have a background in Allen Bradley controls.
