Description

As part of the management team the Project Manager collaborates with senior divisional leadership to manage and execute special projects and to provide business support related to external relations budget and finance human resources and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attends meetings with divisional executive leadership develops and manages work plans and ensures or facilitates appropriate follow up.
  • Drafts key communications such as articles presentations reports and policies.
  • Researches strategic intent of develops agendas for and prepares materials or presentations for meetings.
  • Conducts complex projects requiring comprehensive research and data analysis.
  • Collaborates with others to facilitate projects and ensure timelines and action plans are accomplished.
  • Provides leadership to project team members and ensures integration of relevant business processes.
  • Prepares and assists in budget analyses.
  • Participates in long-range financial planning trending and budgeting.
  • Ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial information and reporting.
  • Analyzes data and reports identifies and summarizes trends develops executive summaries.
  • Represents divisional executive leadership at meetings.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • Overseeing staff involved in CF Biospecimen Registry and upcoming nonCF Bronchiectasis Biospecimen Registry (BRs).
  • Organizing and managing data essential for engineers to build and transfer information into the CF Data Warehouse.
  • Overseeing CFBRs sample/specimen inventory via OpenSpecimen program.
  • Performing IRB submissions - amendments submissions renewals etc.
  • Tracking financial status of BRs - billing client investigators and tracking balances.
  • Overseeing CF Discovery Core operations - interacting with client investigators and providing feedback regarding feasibility and costs of proposed projects.
  • Serving on CF Research Oversight Committee (ROC) which provides official approval and feedback for new research proposals run through the CF BR.
  • Managing Databases for BRs and GACFDW - connecting samples to de-identified patient data.
  • Overseeing operation and staff involved in our local sites Pediatric CF Data Registry our part of the national
  • CF Foundation CF Data Registry: PortCF
  • Organization and coordination for various other research projects as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelors degree in business administration or other related field.
  • Five years of experience with an emphasis on project management and finance/budget analysis.
  • Expertise in use of office technology including the MicroSoft Suite (Word Excel Access and PowerPoint) Internet and e-mail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with OMOP.
  • Experience with Clinical Research of at least 5 years in some capacity medical data management eMR systems REDCap research sample inventories IRB activity and invoicing/tracking client scientists.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
