This role supports the delivery of construction and maintenance services by maintaining public infrastructure that ensures safe traffic movement and community safety including during extreme weather events. It also contributes to keeping the city clean safe and well maintained helping to enhance the communitys sense of place.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

Carries out a wide range of civil construction and maintenance works including roads drainage kerbs footpaths and concrete and paving tasks.
Operates and maintains plant equipment saw cutting machine and tools while ensuring works are completed safely efficiently and to required quality standards.
Supports safe worksites through traffic management housekeeping and completion of daily documentation and inspections.

The successful applicant will have:

1-2 years minimum experience in a similar position is desirable.
Knowledge of Civil Construction practices is highly desirable.
Work zone Traffic Management.
White Card License.
C Class Drivers license is essential.
MR licence or ability to obtain one is essential.
HR Truck licence is desirable.

This is a Grade 1-2 position which has a current salary range of $84128 - $86854 (plus Super) depending on experience.
