Community Care Worker Wagga Wagga

We are looking for experienced dedicated and qualified (Cert III & above in Aged or Disability Care) Community Care/Support Worker to join our caring and dynamic team and provide high quality in-home support services to our valued customers. For this role you will need previous experience in aged or disability care. We are also looking for someone who lives locally or willing to travel to Wagga Wagga area. Assistant in Nursings (AIN) applicants are encouraged to apply.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• General House Cleaning: light household cleaning laundry and meal preparation

• Personal care: showering dressing grooming and medication assistance

• Social support/transportation for social activities shopping/groceries travelling to medical appointments

• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment

• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs

• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress

• Provide updates on customer progress following each service

• Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills

• Reliable & dependable

• Ability to build rapport & good working relationships

• Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

What you will need:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check

• Proof of Vaccination(where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate

• Current First Aid certificate/CPR

• Current Australian Drivers License

• Reliable registered and insured vehicle

• Smart phone with internet access

• Current Working with Children Check (preferred)

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care Home & Community Care Individual Support or Disability Services
