Salary Range: $88000 - $110000
The Director Clinical Services & Intake provides leadership and support to the Clinical Services and Intake team ensuring the effective and professional implementation of Clinical and Intake Services to fulfill the Mission Vision and Strategic goals of the agency. The Director will conduct interventions as required coach and develop the knowledge and skills of Clinical Services and Intake team and oversee the related clinical services and programs of the agency. The Director will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop or revise clinical services and supports as required. As a leader in the agency the Director will be responsible to ensure compliance and accreditation standards are met use data to identify and inform trends develop and implement action plans to address targets. The Director will be responsible to develop annual budgets and ensure operational expenses are within approved budgets.
Key Activities
Leadership
- Oversee and provide direction to Clinical Team
- Conduct interventions as required.
- Provides case management services for complex cases.
- Ensures the effective identification and coordination of services and supports during the planning and intake processes.
- Monitor and direct changes to behaviour support plans in consultation with other clinical and medical professionals as required.
- Conduct behavioural counseling or related techniques to ameliorate behaviours to supported individuals as required.
- Develop and maintain external clinical supports to enhance services provision.
- Ensure Psychiatric Clinic services are well coordinated and provide effective service provision.
- Receives and acts upon client incident/ serious occurrence reports.
- Receives and follows policy for any complaint including those from persons served employees and other stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains networks with other service providers to share best practices and seek opportunities for partnership to benefit Pathways services and supports.
Planning Compliance & Financial
- Ensures the goals and objectives of the Strategic Plan are communicated and develops work plan to ensure successful implementation of outcomes.
- Ensures programs processes policies and procedures are developed and implemented to meet CARF accreditation and Quality Assurance Measures standards and compliance requirements.
- Develops tracks and analyzes metrics relating to Quality Assurance & Risk Management. Recommend and implement changes as required.
- Ensure data integrity of all supported individual electronic records and files and ensures the compliance to clinical interventions required by supported individuals.
- Identifies budget needs for areas of responsibility preparing an annual budget scheduling expenditures analyzing variances initiating corrective action.
- Ensures that all operational expenses are within approved budgets.
Human Resources/Health & Safety
- Participates in and approves the recruitment selection orientation and development of staff as appropriate ensuring compliance with agency practices legislation and collective agreement.
- Promotes and maintains a positive employee relations climate and participates in the preparation of bargaining and negotiations as required.
- Ensures Behaviour Therapists and other direct reports are aware of and always following safety protocols.
- Participates in investigations recommends follow up actions up to and including termination if necessary.
- Educates and coaches Client Service management team and other employees/stakeholders as required on clinical intake planning and therapeutic interventions as required.
- Oversees and ensures the development of clinical education and development for employees as required.
- Other duties as identified and assigned.
The successful candidate must have the following:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Psychology Social Work or equivalent.
- Current registration and/or good standing with programs governing body if applicable
- Masters Preferred
- Valid drivers license and access to an automobile

- Knowledge and experience with budget and financial reports
Qualifications
- Degree in Psychology Social Work or equivalent.
- Masters preferred
- Current registration and/or good standing with programs governing body
- Valid drivers license and access to an automobile.
Experience:
- 6-8 years of related Human and/or Health Services management experience to the specified duties and responsibilities
- Experience working in a unionized environment
