Our Service:

We provide services to children aged 0-25 years and their families & carers focused on improving mental health and social & emotional wellbeing.

All aspects of the service are aimed at increasing secure parent-child attachments strengthening parenting skills and knowledge of child development (cognitive social and emotional) and strategies to enhance wellbeing.

Role overview:

• The Clinical Manager has responsibility for the provision of clinical leadership and management to team members in Paddington Gympie and Hervey Bay.
• Providing some direct supports to clients aged 0-25 years both face-to-face and virtual.
• Day to day delivery of excellence in quality care provision ensuring all clinical governance and compliance targets are implemented and met
• Supporting innovation and quality improvement to ensure evidence-based outcomes for people accessing the service.

Requirements:

• Seeking one of the following: Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist or Occupational Therapist with General AHPRA registration OR registered Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker (desired but not essential to hold mental health accreditation)
• Ideally two years experience in a clinical leadership role in the mental health sector
• Demonstrated experience in clinical practice within the mental health field ideally with children and youth aged 0-25 and families experiencing mental health disorders.
• Knowledge and understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions and clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application in the field of mental health.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake assessment and initial screening activities to determine client care needs assess risk apply brief intervention and assist clients to access necessary services.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Good computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and capacity to learn how to use a clinical software package for electronic client records
• Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
• Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
• Must hold a full drivers licence.
