Job Summary

In this role part-time (0.4 EFT) permanent position commencing in April 2026 based at Epworth Eastern you will be responsible for facilitating workplace learning and upskilling through clinical teaching supervision assessment and support for all staff. This includes supporting learners within the following programs: Graduate Postgraduate Transition to Specialty programs as well as other Early Careers programs run through the Academy which aim to assist learners in meeting the academic and/or clinical objectives required in their programs. We are expanding the Cardiac Service at Epworth Eastern and are looking for an enthusiastic Educator to drive learning and staff development. You will be part of the Epworth Education and Learning team and report to the Epworth Eastern Education Manager.

To be successful in this role

You will drive quality and safety within the hospital through education training workshops seminars and clinical support to aid staff development to improve patient outcomes.

You will have:

  • Excellent clinical knowledge and skills in cardiac nursing with minimum 5 years experience
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills including effective stakeholder engagement 
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize meet deadlines and achieve outcomes
  • A high level of self-motivation accountability and able to work within agreed parameters
  • Previous experience in an education role (desirable)

Located in Box Hill Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility with 14 theatres and expansion of ICU to 12 beds. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac vascular orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology urology and endoscopy services. Our redeveloped site delivers positive meaningful and sustainable impact on the health and wellbeing of our community delivering much needed health care services and facilities in Melbournes east.


Qualifications :

  • Current Nurse registration with AHPRA
  • Education / specialty focused postgraduate qualification (desirable)
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
