Job Summary
Reports to: Dean College of Arts and Humanities
Job status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
Houston Christian University seeks Staff Pianist to join the Department of Music with expertise in teaching applied piano lessons.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accompany applied music major and minors both vocal and instrumental
- Accompany for choral ensembles; lead choral sectionals
- Perform one on one music coaching sessions and play for student recitals and masterclasses
- Teach applied piano lessons to both music majors and minors
Qualifications:
- MM in collaborative piano will consider MM or DMA in piano performance. proficiency in European language diction
- Ability to coach both singers and instrumentalists.
