Founded in 1954 Sterling Crane has been one of North Americas premier leaders in the heavy lift industry offering operated and bare rentals sales parts and unparalleled service to all our customers. We boast one of the largest inventories of modern lifting equipment in North America in excess of 1000 units. We are in need of Project Health & Safety in Ft. Collins CO.
This position will be responsible for implementing and monitoring site specific health safety and environmental operations.
Coordinates the Occupational Health & Safety programs of the organization. Ensures compliance with safety standards and with local laws. Provides complex instruction and training on safe handling of products materials and/or equipment. Investigates and reports on severe workplace accidents. Conducts routine audits to find unsafe work practices and recommends corrective action. Makes recommendations concerning compliance with all applicable Health & Safety regulations. Typically has more than 5 years of experience and works under general direction.
Required Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements
Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime when necessary
Ability to read and understand technical drawings materials or instructions
Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions applicable safety regulations and to maintain records
Must have strong ability work well within a team environment.
Physical Requirements
Strong depth perception and quick reaction time
Ability to pick up lift carry and move a minimum of 65lbs.
Visual capabilities to follow hand signals maintain all logs and operate machinery
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Ability to work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold
Benefits Package
Pay Range:
31.50 - 38.50
