Description

The Vice President of Finance serves as a strategic and operational leader supporting the Deputy CFO across the physician division system controllership and all other enterprise-wide responsibilities.

The role leads simplification standardization and finance transformation initiatives for the physician division and partners with physician compensation supply chain revenue cycle strategic planning school of Medicine and clinical leadership on enterprise-wide initiatives.

Enterprise Simplification & Standardization

  • Lead standardization and process alignment across the Deputy CFOs portfolio.
  • Develop common financial frameworks reporting tools and governance models.
  • Implement dashboards financial and operational tools to enhance decision-making.

Physician Division & Compensation Partnership

  • Partner with the compensation team to modernize and streamline provider compensation processes.
  • Oversee financial integrity of provider compensation productivity models and performance analytics.
  • Provide insight into wRVU trends APP/MD productivity and compensation-to-collections ratios.

Budgeting Forecasting & Financial Planning

  • Lead budget development for physician division inclusive of all the ambulatory surgical center sites ensuring alignment with system strategy.
  • Support service line finance with volume projections business cases and resource planning.
  • Align provider APP and operational assumptions across enterprise financial models.

EHI Finance Leadership & Payroll Oversight

  • Lead EHI finance operations including payroll and centralized functions financial management
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll execution including variable compensation elements.
  • Strengthen compliance and audit readiness across EHI financial operations.

Supply Chain & contract labor management

  • Partner with supply chain on ambulatory supply spend optimization and value creation.
  • Oversee financial review of contact labor utilization and spend management.

Strategic Finance Planning & Physician Acquisitions

  • Lead financial due diligence valuation and pro forma development for physician acquisitions.
  • Support service line strategy growth planning and ambulatory capital/operational investment decisions.
  • Provide financial guidance for onboarding integration and site-of-care expansion.

System Controllership Partnership

  • Collaborate with system controllership on reporting audit support and financial policy alignment.
  • Drive consistency in accounting treatment and financial standards across the physician division.

Leadership & Organizational Influence

  • Lead and develop high-performing finance teams across EHI and the physician enterprise.
  • Build strong relationships with clinical operational and administrative leaders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Deputy CFO and on financial performance and strategic risk.

Additional Duties

  • Lead cost management workforce optimization and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Support provider-based conversions integration projects and operational transformation efforts.
  • Oversee business cases for capital investments technology adoption and access expansion.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in business finance accounting or healthcare administration preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive healthcare finance leadership experience required.
  • Expertise in physician enterprise finance provider compensation and academic medicine.
  • Strong communication analytical and organizational leadership skills.
