Position Summary
ATP is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator to support our oilfield operations. This position is responsible for running the CNC Mill.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with CNC mills a strong understanding of oilfield threading standards and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced precision-driven environment.
Schedule Monday -Friday 7 AM -2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Set up operate and run CNC milling machines with minimal supervision
Machine oil and gas accessories and components to tight tolerances
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Work with API Premium threads and other oilfield threading standards
Modify edit and optimize CNC programs at the machine as needed
Select appropriate tooling speeds and feeds for various materials
Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
Maintain a clean safe and organized work area
Follow all shop safety and quality procedures
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of CNC milling experience in a machine shop environment
Strong broad knowledge of CNC mill operations (setup through production)
Proven experience machining oil and gas components or similar precision parts
Familiarity with threads and oilfield specifications
Ability to independently run jobs from print to completion
Experience editing and modifying CNC programs (G-code or conversational as applicable)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with multiple CNC mill controls (e.g. Fanuc Okuma OSP)
Experience with 3-Axis and 4-Axis machines
Knowledge of various materials used in oil and gas applications
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
