Job Summary

Our client a fast-growing software development startup is seeking a Controller to lead and scale its accounting function. This is a pivotal finance leadership role responsible for financial reporting process optimization and building systems that support growth. Youll work cross-functionally with leadership across Finance Legal HR and Operations to establish scalable tech-forward accounting infrastructure.

What Youll Do

Oversee all accounting operations including GL revenue recognition AP/AR payroll and compliance.
Lead and manage annual audits acting as primary liaison with external auditors.
Deliver accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements; ensure GAAP compliance.
Implement and enhance accounting systems internal controls and automation tools to improve efficiency.
Partner with FP&A on budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline financial workflows and reporting processes.

What You Bring

5 years of progressive accounting experience currently at Controller or Assistant Controller level.
Background in B2B SaaS and experience scaling a high-growth startup.
Strong technical accounting expertise and deep GAAP knowledge.
Experience leading end-to-end audits (Big 4 or Mid-Tier firm experience preferred).
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
Hands-on mindset excited to build systems and processes from the ground up.
Proficiency with automation and AI-driven financial tools.
