We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Durban North South Africa. Job Summary: As a Material Handler you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials in our warehouse. You will work closely with our production and shipping teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet customer demands. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: - Receive inspect and store incoming materials in designated locations - Prepare materials for production by pulling and staging them according to production schedules - Operate forklifts and other equipment to transport materials within the warehouse - Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies - Monitor and report any damaged or defective materials to the appropriate personnel - Prepare and pack materials for shipping ensuring accuracy and timeliness - Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment - Assist with general warehouse duties as needed including cleaning and organizing work areas Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment - Forklift certification is preferred - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time We Offer: - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunities for career growth and development - A dynamic and supportive work environment - Training and resources to enhance your skills and knowledge If you are a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for excellence we would love to hear from you.
