The Massage Therapy Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging professional instruction that meets Massachusetts Board of Registration standards including required lecture and lab hours necessary to fulfill total program credit Deliver classroom (lecture) and practical (lab) instruction in assigned subjects Adhere to established guidelines for lecture hours and lab hours to ensure total required hours of 650 are met. Demonstrate massage techniques and supervise student practice Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback Maintain accurate attendance instructional and student records Ensure all instruction complies with Massachusetts regulatory and accreditation requirements Foster a professional safe and supportive learning environment Supervise and assess students in laboratory and student salon/clinic settings Develop lesson plans instructional materials and competency-based assessments Maintain accurate student attendance grading and progress records Prepare students for the Massachusetts Licensed Massage Therapist Examination Ensure compliance with all health safety and sanitation standards Maintain a safe inclusive and professional learning environment Participate in program review accreditation and continuous improvement activities Collaborate with school administration instructors and support staff Stay current with industry trends techniques and regulatory updates
