Healthcare Billing Supervisor
Lakewood NJ
Salary: $7590K (DOE) Flexible Hours
Position Overview
A growing ABA organization is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Healthcare Billing Supervisor to oversee daily billing operations and support a small remote billing team. This is a hands-on supervisory role focused on accuracy follow-through and steady execution of billing and collections processes.
The Ideal Candidate
Solid background in healthcare billing and revenue cycle processes
Comfortable supervising workflows and supporting a billing team day-to-day
Organized dependable and detail-focused
Calm under pressure with strong follow-through
Collaborative and willing to jump in where needed
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily work of a remote billing team (approx. 68 staff)
Ensure timely and accurate claim submission follow-ups and collections
Review billing queues for errors denials and outstanding balances
Support process improvements to reduce delays and rework
Ensure compliance with payer rules and internal procedures
Assist with onboarding and ongoing training of billing staff
Escalate complex issues and trends to management as needed
Qualifications & Must-Haves
24 years of healthcare billing experience (required)
Prior experience in a lead senior or supervisory billing role
Working knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and billing workflows
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Clear communicator with a practical team-oriented mindset
