The school is seeking an experienced Sociology Teacher to teach across KS4 and KS5. The successful candidate will deliver a rigorous and engaging curriculum that encourages critical thinking debate and analytical writing. You will be responsible for planning lessons that make complex sociological concepts accessible and relevant to students lived experiences.
You will work closely with the Humanities and Social Sciences team to develop schemes of work share resources and ensure consistency in assessment. The role also involves preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations providing targeted intervention where needed and supporting enrichment opportunities such as debate clubs or guest speaker events.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Sociology or a related subject
Proven experience teaching Sociology at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and exam specification familiarity
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
