The Opportunity & Role Profile

This Outstanding Birmingham academy is seeking a proactive Caretaker. You will be responsible for the security and upkeep of a high-spec school site ensuring the premises are safe secure and maintained to an impeccable standard for all pupils and staff.

Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope

  • Site Security: Serving as a primary key-holder responsible for the daily opening/locking of the site and managing alarm systems.

  • Maintenance & Compliance: Executing general repairs and ensuring all statutory Health & Safety checks including fire and water safety are up to date.

  • Liaison: Working with external contractors and supporting the school during community use and evening events.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a trade (plumbing/electrical) or a similar site-based role.

  • Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government pay scale.

  • Support: Access to modern workshop facilities and a supportive premises manager.
