Job Summary

Key Responsibility: Generation of materials mechanical properties / stress-strain curves as well as materials fatigue lifetime ( Low Cycle Fatigue ) in ambient and elevated temperatures together with external partners Generation of thermo-physical and creep materials properties in ambient temperature and elevated temperatures together with external partners Evaluation interpretation and presentation of materials tests results to other departments like FEA Simulation Teams globally. Preparation of basic material properties cards based on specification defined by material and simulation teams. Development of requirements for material testing processes and methods as well as their promotion and realization. Development and close collaboration with local material testing / characterization external partners.
Work Experience/Skills: PhD / Master mechanical engineering or comparable qualification At least 5 years experience in automotive or industrial field with focus on turbomachinery with focus on material science Deep understanding of material mechanical and physical properties and material testing methods Strong analytical skills and conscientious structured way of working Excellent English communication skills
