Location: Mexico Brazil

Overview

McGraw Hill Education is seeking a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer (Level 2) to backfill a Senior Engineer role within their cross functional technology organization. This engineer will play a key role in designing developing and maintaining AI powered applications-especially generative AI driven solutions-while collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders.

This position requires strong full stack engineering capabilities cloud expertise and the ability to work effectively in customer facing and multi team environments.

Responsibilities

Design develop implement and maintain AI powered and Generative AI based applications ensuring reliability maintainability and scalability.
Build and maintain end to end workflows including automation and orchestration of platform components.
Collaborate closely with cross functional teams including TPMs product stakeholders and engineering groups.
Participate in customer facing discussions requirement clarification sessions and solution walkthroughs.
Support cloud native development using AWS or Azure and contribute to cloud engineering activities.
Develop high quality testable full stack code using Python and React.
Work within Agile teams to deliver features resolve technical issues and improve development processes.
Maintain documentation logs and solution artefacts for engineering deliverables.
(Preferred) Perform QA-related tasks including test case creation execution and validation.
(Optional but preferred) Use Terraform for infrastructure automation.

Required Skills & Experience

5 years of hands on software engineering experience.
Proven full stack engineering background with strong experience in:
- Python (backend)
- React (frontend)
- Cloud Engineering (AWS or Azure)
- AI / Generative AI solution development
Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams.
Ability to create and maintain workflows for engineering and operational processes.
Comfortable working in a customer-facing capacity and engaging with TPM teams.
Excellent communication ownership and cross team collaboration abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Terraform.
Prior QA/testing exposure.

Additional Details

This is a backfill role for a Senior Engineer.
Candidates must be comfortable supporting EST hours.
Role is classified as Nearshore and Cloud PC is provided for work.
